[TrunkCom] monitoring distant Astro systems

Hi everyone.  During a recent band opening I was using my BC250D and was
able to pick up a distant TRS operating in the 851-866 MHz range.  I'm
assuming this was from Ohio, because it was Astro CAI and I heard it on the
University of Michigan's frequencies and Ann Arbor's freqs.  I was able to
capture some audio but it was shakey and dropped out.  Has anyone else heard
this in the area in the midst of band openings and have you been able to get
the audio to stay?  I know that it is kind of early in the year but this
system has come in and out in addition to the Cleveland VSELP system that I
have been able to identify from the sound.  Also, what was heard and
received well that is digital from a distance last season with the tropo
openings?
