[TrunkCom] RS 2053 scanner

I have two 2050  scanner and just picked up a  2053 from Radio shack at a 
good price----but having a problem entering fleet maps--followed the instructions 
in the Manuel page 33 ,but no 4 on the instruction not to clear--the 2050 is 
a much simpler
scanner-----please help
