[TrunkCom] Grosse Pointe, Michigan TRS update

Hi everyone.  I had some information given to me on the Grosse Pointe
Farms TRS, and here are some possible future plans for it.  One thing that
is being looked at is encryption for the DB groups.  Since moving to the
new system detectives are appearing on the air more then they did with the
old system when they had a simplex channel available to them.  They are
not always communicating every day, but significantly more thanks to the
new system.
	There are no plans on upgrading the control channel to 9600 BAUD,
and we still don't know whether or not the school district will join the
system or not.  Also, Eastpoint, Roseville, and St. Claire Shores PDs may
join the system in the near future.  When coverage tests were conducted
when the system first went on line in 2001 coverage in these cities was
pretty good, and since for the  time being that Macomb County has chosen
not to do anything as far as radio system upgrading these cities around
Grosse Pointe want to from what it seems.  Also, hospital security may
join for the one hospital that is in Grosse Pointe, but nothing is final
at this time.
