Let me take a stab at these.

A.C.S.B. - amplitude compandered sideband - a modulation technique -
sounds like Daffy Duck on most scanners

APCO - 25 - a FDMA digital modulation technique coupled with trunking
protocols - newest scanners can receive and track this OK

EDACS - Ericcsons trunking format which uses normal analog FM (?or
digital?) - audio can be received and decoded by all scanners - some
scanners can follow the trunking protocl/procedure/method

IDEN - proprietary digital modulation and
trunking/multiplexing/TDMA/networking built by Motorola and used by
NEXTEL and Southern Linc - no scanners can decode nor track

LTR ( Various Forms ) - FM modulation (?maybe digital also?) - a
specialized trunking protocol that does not require a dedicated fulltime
control channel - not sure if TTs will follow LTR

MARC - 5 - ??

MPT ( Various Forms ) - a trunking protocol used in UK and ?Europe - I
dont think that any scanner can trunk this - possibly digital or analog
modulation can be used

SmarTrunk - ? Motorola trunking controller - a type of Motorola trunking
system?

TETRA - European digital modulation and trunking protocol - I havent
heard of any scanners that will get this

TETRAPOL - similar to TETRA

GSM - similar to TETRA

correct me if I am wrong - Peter S
