You can disagree but when I write my own program that decodes the
Motorola control channel, I know what I'm talking about when it comes
to what it spits out.

When a Multiselect or a patch is initiated the only differences are
the supergroup is either tagged with a "status bit" of 3 for a path or
7 for an MSEL. When the dispatcher transmits the MSEL the call goes
out with the group +7, or if a patched group becomes active, it is +
3.

No scanner has yet to properly follow a patch in the same manner as a
Motorola does. It may have *seemed* like it did before and that's
because the supergroups stayed the same. I don't care what you've seen
or how the consoles are configured. Obviously when the MSEL is
initiated it isn't happening on the same talkgroup you are monitoring.
You need to find out the other talkgroups and check them. There *is* a
supergroup being sent out if the Motorola radios are tracking it
properly.

Argue all you want but I've seen the code and I know how it works.
