[TrunkCom] An idea

Greetings All,
Here is an idea for the Trunktracker designers. Instead of
having a 'Status Bit Mode', why not create a 'Status Bit Configuration
Mode'. Which would allow users to set or enable/disable certain
Status bits (Like this Menu Table):
ID+1 (ATG) = enable/disable
ID+2 (EMERG BUTTON) = enable/disable
ID+3 (PATCH) = enable/disable
ID+4 () = enable/disable
ID+5 () = enable/disable
ID+6 () = enable/disable
ID+7 (MULT-SELT) = enable/disable
and so on, and so-on to ID+15
Then add one more menu item to this table:
Listen for Status Bits of talkgroups not in the Scan Lists = enable/disable
This configuration would only be available for the Type II blocks, and
would be global, appyling to all Type II blocks in that TRS. Once
configured. The scanner, along with monitoring for the desired
(unlocked) talkgroups, would also search for IDs matching any
talkgroup (unlocked or not) matching the above table (those status
bits that are enabled by the user). Also this searching for ID+Status
Bits could include talkgroups not contained in the scan lists (either
locked or unlocked) if enabled by user on the Last Menu item listed
in the table above.
This monitoring of Status Bits would continue even if the user
has hit the 'HOLD' button or 'MANUAL' button, to lock in a
certain talkgroup (based of course on the selections mentioned
in the table listed above)
Again the rules of the table above would be followed at all times,
regardless if the user was using the 'SEARCH' , 'SCAN' or 'HOLD'
- 'MANUAL' modes.
This would be a good alternative solution to this problem.
