Hi everyone. Today I had another strange thing happen with the BC250D. I
had a fire down the strefrom my house, and got to monitor it, but I
discovered when I had someone try and read the talk group ID to determine
what talk group was in use it showed up as a type I system with the
frequency that the control channel is on for today. I did a warm reset
after entering in a type II talk group and not having any luck I did the
same keystrokes and then entered in one type II talk group and it worked
just fine. I am getting the hang of this, but last weekend when I
reprogrammed thisradio from scratch I didn't enter in any talk groups
because I wanted to search around in it. Do I need to enter in a talk
group once a type II system is programmed in? Also, I am really having
problems with getting anything type I because of the fleet map, and was
frustrated when I found out that the radio thought that what I was
monitoring was a type I when it is really type II. Any help with type I
programming would be great and thanks. I have had people read the manual,
but they don't seem to understand what to do, or to tell me what to do.
