Yes, I know. Thanks. I guess my question is since you always have to use a 
power source rated for at least the minimum amount of current the load will 
draw then is it a bad idea to use a wal-wart (300mw) or in my case Pro-power 
3 only putting out 200mw when the radio itself and the manual show 500mw is 
required? For such a small difference maybe the wal-wart or Pro-power unit 
won't get too warm/hot but I don't want to have a meltdown of the Pro-power 
charger if I try to use it with the scanner on, drawing more current than the 
charger can handle.

Thoughts?
