Well, I'll make a quick post here. My online Trunk Scanner of the
St Louis City Police South Patrol is functioning better than before.
Its catching all of the 'APBs'. And the RF Quality is improved, I'm
using a new antenna on my bc-245xlt. Its a 800Mhz Cell Phone
'Pig Tail', that is mounted on a railing, inside. It seems the
metal railing is an RF 'sweet spot'. So the days of static-ey
repeaters should be over. And on Wednesdays when they switch
to the 'Alternate Site', the reception gets even better. I am
located about 4 city blocks from the South Patrol Police Station.
Which is the home of the 'Alternate Site'. The tower is on top of
the Ridge, at Arsenal & Sublette. 'Main site' is on top of the
police Headquaters building at Tucker & Clark in downtown.
Or 3-4 miles away from my qth. My car records 6.1 driving miles
between my QTH & Police HQ (Not a straight line, of course)
