Control Channel Only:

This feature allows you to pick a control channel (Motorola 800 and
900 mHz only, at least on the BC780XLT) and then listen to the
particular talk groups that are a part of that system. It allows you
to view and save the frequencies and the talk groups. As Uniden says
in the manual, it is a VERY powerful tool! It is the trunked version
of "searching", I guess you could say. In other words; a hard core
scannist gets a sense of satisfaction from finding new frequencies
and services by searching, rather than always asking others for
frequencies, or having to look them up. This feature does the same
thing in trunked mode. Have fun with it!
Enjoy,
Jim
