Greetings All,
My online Trunk Scanner of the South Patrol from St Louis, Mo
is behaving alot better now. It now intercepts All APBs. So far as
I can tell, none are being missed. This will make listening alot
more enjoyable. For those with streaming online Trunk Scanners,
I need to pass along some advise.

There are two ways to solve the APB problem (see my past posts
for some info on this problem):

"First, you need to know that I lock out all talkgroups on my online
scanner, except for two. District 1 & 2 -57360- and the District 3
-57392- talkgroup."

Fix method #1:
A) -- 1st, turn off 'STATUS BIT' Mode. Make sure that the relative
Trunk Bank 'Block' is set to Type II (S-0). Program in your desired
talkgroups into your scan lists , and leave them unlocked. Then,
program in ID+7 of every talkgroup which is a dispatch channel with
an APB capability into your scan lists.

Here are some real-world examples for mine in St Louis, Mo:

57360 - District 1 & 2 (ID+7 = 57367)
57392 - District 3 (ID+7 = 57399)
57424 - District 4 & 5 (ID+7 = 57431)
57456 - District 6 & 8 (ID+7 = 57463)
57488 - District 7 (ID+7 = 57495)
57520 - District 9 (ID+7 = 57527)
57552 - S.O.D.D (ID+7 = 57559)
57584 - B.O.I (ID+7 = 57591)
57712 - INFO A (ID+7 = 57719)
57744 - INFO B (ID+7 = 57751)

You can see that entering every ID+7 into a scan list
means that it eats up a whole 'Scan List Bank'. Once
you're finished, push your 'SCAN' button, and make sure
your trunktracker is actively scanning those 'Scan List
Banks'. If any dispatcher hits the 'All Points' Button
on one of the Folders of the Centracom Gold Elite Screen,
Say 'APB-1', 'APB-2', 'MSLT-1', 'PATCH-1', 'PATCH-2',
or the 'PATCH-3' folders on the Radio Screen. You should
receive the wanted talkgroups & all of the APBs from any
of the dispatchers.

Fix method #2:
Its virtually the same as #1, except now instead of using the
'SCAN' Mode, you'll use the 'SEARCH' Mode. With this
method you must manually lock-out all talkgroups that are
not desired to be monitored. In Method #1, you did NOT have
to lock-out any undesired talkgroups. You simply programmed
in all of the desried ones. If you use this method (#2), you're
online Trunk Scanner might encounter unknown or unpublished
talkgroups. Which method you use is up to you. Its your choice.

These two methods can also be used on (ID+2) monitoring too.
Say you want your online Trunk Scanner to stop when somebody
(with Method #2, anybody) presses their Radio's Emergency
Button.

My online Trunk scanner is very Talkgroup specific. Only 2
regular talkgroups monitored. WIth all of the ID+2 & ID+7 entries
too.

My online scanner is my BC-245xlt. 73......
