Hi everyone. I am wondering if anyone has any more information on the new
Open Sky systems that are going on line in Pennsylvania, and Oakland County,
Michigan? I have been hearing a strange sounding control channel that
doesn't sound like Moto or EDACS so I am assuming that part of Open Sky for
Oakland County is turned on now, but I am thinking just for testing.
According to trunkedradio.net, Open Sky doesn't use a control channel
though. Also, I am wondering if any other agency is encrypting their
control channel like Florida's Pro-voice system?
Lastly I have an update from University of Michigan from
trunkedradio.net. As of yesterday their long time type IIi hybrid system is
now fully type II. Other then that nothing else is new, and I am still
looking for work in the trunked radio field preferrably on the technical
support side. Any information and/or help would be appreciated, and thanks
in advance.
