Oh, no.  Here we go again.  Maybe because it is a hand
held unit and they do NOT want anybody having a
digital capable hand held unit.

Lets face it.  Out of all the radio scanners out
there, which one can do triple duty as a hand held,
mobile, or base?  Well it is the hand held, no doubt
about it.  10-4?!?!?!?!
