[TrunkCom] AEGIS and Pro-voice

Hi everyone.  I just programmed in a system across the river from me in
Canad  that is supposed to be Pro-voice, but it sounds so much like AEGIS.
I can't tell the difference, but I have heard that Pro-voice will be
APCO-25 complient, and am just wondering if once the new scanners come out
if this system will be monitorable?  Like I said it is listed as being
Pro-voice, but sounds like AEGIS to me.  Any help would be appreciated,
