Folks,
  October 29 2002 is when Uniden will start production of their new digital
scanners. They will be shipped to Uniden and offered for sale to the public
around the third week of November.  Look for them to show up in stores ( not
that they willspend much time there) around  the last week  in November.
    Currently there are four prototypes making the rounds and the specs are
being fine tuned.
   This unit is gonna smoke so get ready for it.
This info has been confirmed by  Scott Carpenter of Uniden. Most people live
in  communities that have open minds & welcome this. A few that are communist
minded oppose this. Even still, It appears that Uniden will be having a great
4th quarter with these units. Stack'em high and watch 'em fly.
    While a huge initial run is being made not all orders will be filled. A
lot of people will have to wait until late Dec.
