You'll always get some signal loss with connections, patch cords and =
splitters. Invest in good quality accessories with the correct =
impedance. Use dummy loads on unused splitter ends. Always use good =
quality low loss cable( LMR 400 is what I use but some with more dough =
prefer types of hard-line heliax). Make up signal loss with a good =
quality pre--amp( at the antenna not the radio to not amplify noise from =
the line) and use your radio's attenuator when necessary.

A splitter's a great idea. I have four radios running off my discone =
right now and two TT's running on my 800Mhz yagi.
