Greetings All,
From my last message I was trying to state that using
a simple 1-key (1-keystroke) method, you could easily
enable-disable the I-Call feature. This way, you do not have
to use the 'MENU' system of the BC-780xlt.
I have the 'Wild Card' ID -i700000- programmed into '7-1'.
So while in 'SCAN' mode, to turn on I-Call, all I do is simply
hit 'Number #7' on the keypad. And there ya go. Its turned
on. To turn it off, I can either it 'Number #7' again one-time,
or I can hit the 'SEARCH' button or 'MANUAL'. one-time.
1 single keystroke, and I-CALL can be turned 'ON' or 'OFF'.
Very important while I'm on the road...
*Remember* Under the 'MENU' system, the I-Call' function
is 'Disabled'. The Wild-Card Memory entry
superceads the 'MENU' so long as its memory
location is being actively scanned. (not L/O)
To make it simple, put the Wild-Card I-Call code into one of
your Upper Scan List Banks. Put it alone, in its own bank.
Then enable-disable it 'at your pleasure'. ('SCAN' Mode, of
course)
