In a simulcast system, all of the repeaters transmit the same thing. In
Motorola systems, the radio will lock onto one of the 4 control channels
programmed into it. In EDACS systems, the radio will look at the
frequencies in the LCN list to find the control channel.
In a Motorola multi-site/networked system (SmartZone), the radio is
programmed with all of the control channels from all cells, and the radio
will lock on to the control channel with the strongest signal. In an
EDACS multi-site system (Wide Area), I do not know for sure but am
guessing they either have all of the cells' LCN programmed into it, or
they designate specific LCN's in each cell for use as control channels.

For a Trunk Tracker, no. Just enter each cell into separate banks as a
different trunked system.
