I have found that if you have a type I trunk system and you set your radio to
type II mode you will see individual ids for each radio/per channel or subfleet.
However the display will not change back and forth while two individuals talk.
The radio will display the unit that initiated  the conversation Unless they let
the repeater drop.
I have used this method to id a friend of mine on a local type I smr that "acts
up" all the time on the radio with his work buddies.
You'll have to set it up in another bank as you cannot set a bank up to do type
I and Type II at the same time. It can be kind of boggleing trying to figure out
the individual id's though.
