Have never heard inversion scrambling on a trunked system, of course I guess its
poss. Usually its des or dvp type scrambling on trunked system. Inversion is
usually the "poor man's" scrambling technique so the municipals with the $$$ that
can afford the trunk system, have the money for the high tech digital scrambling.

Scan around the vhf PS band, there maybe some nearby small town that may be using
inversion.
Also check out the frs band. Some of the high end frs units feature inversion
scrambling. All in all, you generally don't hear much inversion in use by
professionals-too easy to decode. You'll have a better chance locally (unless
your lucky) of hearing inversion in the private sector of comms.
