trunk-track Motorola systems in "open" mode when ONLY the control frequency
is entered. As it does so, the frequency and the IDs will flash on the LCD
screen. A few hours of this on a busy day will give the numbers for most or
all of the system. Of course, you'll hear every TG--trash trucks, school
buses, whatever. (The wizards at GRE did not include the ability to lock
out any specific ID in "open" mode; you have to hear them all.) After you
have the public safety ID numbers, listening to them only in "closed" mode
will gradually reveal if one is Tac 1, Detective, Traffic, or whatever.

actual frequencies (channels) and enter them in Logical Channel Number
sequence. (Trap: The first channel in this radio in each bank is channel
00; LCN 1 MUST be in Channel 01, not 00.)

I think what he means is the ID's of individual radios, not talkgroup ID's.
If that is indeed what he means, then the answer is no. You can see
individual radio ID's with the Trunker program, but not on any scanner.
