Are they spread throughout the 800- Megacycle band or in 850 to 859 or in =
860 - 869.9875 or 894 - 900?

Only at a NEXTEL or IDEN site. And this is due to the wideband noise
that this digital system produces. This is the reason for the
complaints against NEXTEL and the reason that they (NEXTEL) have offered
500 million dollars to help move public safety away from their harmful
interference. If you cannot clean up your system and your payoff
protects you from prosecution, you can provide a token amount to show
your "good faith" and "help" move the people that you are interfering
with away from your interference. The system works well when at a well
behaved site. NEXTEL and IDEN are not well behaved, interference
generators, yes, well behaved, no.

Ah, repeater site alarms, eh? Very good. Wow , the cell reporting system
won't work, eh? Trying to monitor a cell repeater and the cell reporting
system won't work. Wow.

The company that I work makes tower site monitoring equipment. We do
not install it. We cannot call it an "alarm" for some legal reasons. I
design some of the stuff here and go to the field to point out where it
was incorrectly installed and help the owners get it fixed. It is
amazing how many people cannot or will not read instructions. Our
biggest problem is the owner does not want to spend the money to
properly ground the site.

Our system takes some analog data and switch closures and transmits this
data back on a phone line. In some cases we sell a cellular reporting
system. One thing that we have learned, it will not work at a NEXTEL
site!
