I know that with several departments in southeastern Michigan area, use radios
that can operate on other trunking systems and on direct repeater/simplex
channels. PB-2, in this case sounds like they switched to another system or
direct channel. You might want to see if there are any nearby systems, be they
SMR or public safety, and check them out. Then I would scan the trunked
frequencies in regular mode to see if you pickup anything.
In addition, you may want to listen to the five nationwide mutual aid frequencies
for any activity:
866.0125
866.5125
867.0125
867.5125
868.0125
