[TrunkCom] does anyone know how the new scanners will handle both data and voice from the same channel?

=46lashing allows someone to electronically upgrade the radio without
having to send it to Motorola. You are basically upgrading firmware.
Conventional to trunked, or digital to analog, etc.

You connect a SmartRIB, plus the flash dongle, and upload the firmware
on the dongle into the radio via software.
