[TrunkCom] holiday scanner traffic

Heya list!

Was I mistaken or are there public safety/police/fire members here?

A question if so...

Dig, this was MLK holiday, yes? Out of the blue, all the dispatcher
voices (the cute-sounding, almost soothing, female voices ;) changed, to
brusque male voices... as I sit here Tuesday, listening to the male
dispatchers in Seattle and Valley Comm, I have to hope that the women
got the weekend off?

Even the patrol units sounded different, but this wasn't the case over
Xmas or such

Are unit numbers like 1B3, 2A12, 7M3, etc specific to an individual
officer? It =almost= seems like certain cops here in Seattle occupy
certain TIDs, Narcotics most notably <G> I'd like to stuff as much info
as I can into my logs, but this in "districting", it seems like tho cops
are ASSIGNED to an are like Lincoln, Nora, etc, they pretty much float
