DISPATCH Monthly Magazine News Hound
  ------------------------------------
Nextel's plan to end 800 MHz interference has generated static from
companies with huge wireless networks that use the frequencies,
including Fed-Ex, which claims it would cost $100 million to
re-program its fleet of 40,000 mobile radios and 750 base stations.
In a letter to the FCC, the Industrial Telecommunications Association
(ITA) called the plan an "unmitigated disaster." More of the feedback
in the next printed edition. So much for the $500 million...
