No Marcel, YOU misread the release and my post. You quoted TYCO talking
about the STATE system, I am talking about their release about PALM BEACH
COUNTY. You even quoted their release about PALM BEACH COUNTY (did you
even READ my post?). I never said they were not implementing a system
for the STATE of Florida. Re-read this portion that you quoted back to
me:
"Tyco Electronics today announced that its M/A-COM unit has been selected
by Florida's Municipal Public Safety Communications Consortium, Inc.
("MPSCC") of PALM BEACH COUNTY, to provide its OpenSky Wireless IP
(Internet Protocol) Network to fulfill public safety communication
needs."
Re-read that carefully, it is talking about PALM BEACH COUNTY
implementing the MA/COM system. This is NOT about the state system.
With that said, the issue again is the fact that Palm Beach County, which
just implemented a Motorola Astro SmartZone system countywide, is NOT
going with MA/COM to provide PALM BEACH COUNTY communications.
