Control channel speed. Wideband systems (what most are) run at 9600
baud, narrowband systems run at 4800 baud. There may be other
differences regarding features, etc. So far narrowband systems are only
found in the 900-MHz band.

The control channel sounds different.

No, the PRO-92 (and "B" and "C") only do EDACS wideband. Only the 780xlt
will do EDACS narrowband.
