Big picture?  Let's see, I have a choice between a $630 unit that does
everything I mentioned before (and does a pretty good job of it), and a
$975 unit that does ONE band, is not face programmable, does only one
type of trunking, and scans at most 20 channels.  In other words, spend
$345 more and get much less features???  Do you think everyone who is
thinking of getting the digital scanner should instead buy an Astro?

Curious, do you even own a 780xlt?
