[TrunkCom] What? No administrative posts?

It has been noticed that no one has posted any hyper-paranoid admin posts to the list recently. Is anything going on? No list admin has yelled at anyone, or changed the rules of the list, or unsubscribed anyone, or threatened any of the above. How will we cope?

I mean, a list run without the admin would just be awful, right? How dreadful things would be if people could contribute info, and share ideas, without first wading through a page and a half of rules and regs? I mean, how much individual thought can we tolerate here?

Some of us know better. All of the posturing and ranting, and posting ADMIN links, is little more than a cry for attention. "I'm the list God! Respect mah authoritah!"

I teach part-time at an elementary school during the week. It won't make me rich, but it is rewarding. I routinely watch in amusement as kids invent games and fantasy worlds, with rules, "bosses", and punishments. Usually this can be attributed to a vivid imagination, coupled with a lack of attention, or feelings of low self worth. I won't even try to diagnose adults with the same symptoms.

Grow up. If you have a list admin issue, and I am sure you have many legitimate ones, don't hesitate to take care of it privately. Most of us have joined this list to learn about trunked scanning, not listen to you gripe. If you can't let people contribute to the list without feeling the need to regulate everything, then perhaps it would be best to find someone else to run the list. I am sure there are people out there who would be willing to step in.

Oops! Guess I have violated the rules by posting off topic. Please forgive me. I will unsubscribe myself, and thus save you the trouble.

Happy Scanning....
