Well actually I just picked up the newest edition of Monitoring Times and =
read that one state, I think it is Wisconson, is using the 130-144 MHz =
Military band for Trunking. Although it is NOT state wide.

Greetings,
600Mhz band is currently reserved for UHF-TV. 700Mhz is used=20
by Channels: 53-68 Please refer to your frequency lists. Here is=20
one from the ARRL:

http://www.arrl.org/tis/info/catv-ch.html

The FCC is only considering realigning Channels 60-69 for alternative=20
use. This has not been done yet. Many UHF-TV stations remain in the=20
Ch60-69 range. The FCC will not realign the whole 700Mhz band which=20
includes UHF Channels down to Ch 53.=20

In the meantime, there is no way anyone is going to be using=20
UHF Ch36-53 (600Mhz) for anything else but then for UHF-TV and DTV.
600Mhz is not going anywhere. Chs35-53 will remain UHF-TV primary.
Any other allocated use, would ONLY be done on a local-ONLY basis.
Possible Government usage. But Public Safety or Business,=20
forget about it. We'll see if the FCC does anything like that. I=20
consider it unlikely.
