[TrunkCom] January 15 now a release date

Hi everyone.  I have just found out that at least here in Michigan the new
scanners will be released on January 15, 2003.  No new news on the 9600
BAUD issue, other then it won't follow the Motorola 9600 control channel.
For those of you in Michigan who are not near a tower I wouldn't worry
about tracking the state's control channel because it is weak in a lot of
areas, and I don't know  how well the digital audio would come through
anyways.    I have heard that even with mobile radios when out of the area
of the tower sometimes or when not near a tower on the MPSCS   system even
pulling into a garage to say pick a prisoner up the mobiles won't even
work, and here in Grosse Pointe anyway the old and new state systems never
really came in that well to begin with.y
