85%+ of all of the radios in use by the St Louis City Police Dept are
still STX-800s. They are all Type II. Most have no keyboard or
display. Some do. The St Louis City Police has been a pure Type II
system now for nearly 2 years, or so. Heck I got a couple of good
shots of the STX-800 radios I use to use. Also, shots of my BC-
245xlt Radio Scanner. Take a look:

I shot these pictures with my Digital Camera, from deep
in the heart of St Louis City Police Headquarters, with
the approval of my Watch Commander, of course. If
you'd like to see a picture of my former Boss, here she
is:

My boss in the above picture has moved onto the
North Patrol Police Station, and works as a relief
Sgt for District 8. I of course, work in the 911 center.
At 911, the only radios we use there are the ASTRO
XTS-3000s, in analog mode of course. (Minus the
display & fancy keyboard)
