[TrunkCom] What the Sheriff said about their new digital system.

 Allen County Sheriff's Department in Indiana put their new digital system 
on-line a couple months ago. After reading the newspaper article about the 
system, I feel good about the future of scanning digital systems. In the 
article, a reporter asked the Sheriff how he felt about scanner users and 
will scanner users be able to monitor their new digital system. The Sheriff 
came back and said, he has no problems with people who listen to scanners, as 
long as they will keep the information that is broadcasted over the scanner 
to themselves. He also said that, if they what to monitor us, they will have 
to buy a new digital scanner when they come out. He also said that they have 
loaned one of their new digital radios to one of the local news media, so 
they could monitor the system till they get the new digital scanners.
