This is not correct. You CAN mix EDACS and Motorola trunking in the same
bank, BUT you have to put the EDACS system first due to the LCN order,
and you cannot track both at the same time. You can also mix EDACS and
conventional in the same bank.
For example, I have the city of Hollywood's 9-channel EDACS system and
Coral Springs/Margate's 13 channel Motorola system in Bank 3; Hollywood
occupies channels 101 to 109, CS/Margate in channels 110 to 122. When in
Hollywood, I set Bank 3 to EDACS mode. When in CS/Margate, I set Bank 3
to Motorola mode. For talkgroup banks, I've designated 50 for Hollywood
and 50 for CS/Margate.
