I just finished installing two softwares that are needed to upload/download
frequencies from/to PC from/to PRO-93

The two freewares are:
SLURP for downloading from PRO-93 to PC
PRO93.EXE (comes zipped) for downloading from PC to PRO-93

I used a YAESU ADMS-1D cloning / programming cable (with a stereo to mono
adaptor) which I already had for my YAESU radios. This cable is available
from amateur radio stores. You can get less expensive cables for about $19
which is discussed at the website listed below. Cables work for both PRO-92
and PRO-93

The cable / software sold by Radio Shack (#20-048) DOES NOT WORK for either
PRO-92 nor PRO-93

SLURP is available as freeware from:

http://home.cox.rr.com/kplotkin/scanner.htm

This site is very informative also concerning alternative cables that will
work with both PRO-92 and PRO-93

PRO93.EXE freeware is available from the pro93's site at yahoogroups.com
(first, you must subscribe to the pro92 list).

Once you get all the softwares and cable, programming becomes a "breeze" !!
I have already used them to program my PRO-93 via my PC..

By the way, Radio Shack Tech Support still does not have a date on the
introduction of its PC cable interface nor software for PRO-93!!

Hope this helps..
