Hello Everyone:


Recently, the U of M, TRS, decided to start the conversion from a Type
IIi, into a Type II system.  The changeover could take up to a year to
complete.  The older Type I, Styx handhelds will be replaced by MTS-2000
handhelds and MCS-2000 mobile radios.


Radio techs have been working on the system and here is what I have so
far:

The old Type I, Id's are on the left and the new Type II, Id's are on
the far right.  As the new handhelds and mobiles are introduced, they
will be crosspatched onto the old talkgroups until they are all switched
over.  Eventually, the transit busses will be switched over as well.
