Rich reached the rank of Life Scout, his older brother was one of the early Eagle Scouts. Rich was an infectious and capable Scouter and an inspiration to many of us. Rich's father helped found the Troop in 1942 and was instrumental in taking the former members of the parish's Columbian Cadets (the KoC youth group of the time) and keeping the boys active in the parish through Scouting. As an adult, Rich married and raised a family in Hillsdale where he supported, mentored and trained many of us Troop 139 Scouters and Scouts along with others through the Weboree, Webelos Woodsman, Klondike Derbys, Camporees and other events. He also helped many of us prepare to deliver the Catholic Religious programs for our Scouts. Rich will be missed! Please say a prayer for Rich! >From Facebook Richie Curran Funeral details: Viewing Sunday April 21, 4 pm to 8pm at Becker Funeral home, Westwood, NJ.
