To whom it may concern,

My name is Mike Silverman, I am the Coalition Coordinator for the Bergen County Prevention Coalition. I am also an eagle scout (December 2009) from Troop 165 in Rockaway, NJ (Patriot’s Path Council).

I am e-mailing you all today to see if you could help advertise an upcoming one day Teen Summit that is being hosted at Felician University on May 3rd  from 8:00am – 1:00pm. My coalition is partnering up with the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute to bring youth together from all over the county to increase knowledge and gain skills to tackle the alcohol, tobacco, and other drug epidemics through our communities. The day will consist of a keynote speaker, interactive workshops, and other presentations to help provide the teens with the tools to create an action plan for their community. Breakfast and lunch are provided too!

I apologize if I am contacting the wrong people. Up until now, we have been focusing on reaching out to high schools directly to recruit youth from all over Bergen. I wanted to see if we could utilize the myriad of community/volunteer groups as well! Since I was a boy scout and I remember how much I enjoyed giving back during my scouting years, it was an obvious first choice for me to reach out to you all.

If you could forward this flyer (which is attached to this e-mail) to the scout masters or troops directly, it would be greatly appreciated.
