[Troop139] Amateur Radio Scouting Event May 19-21

Hi Folks!

We are in need of Radio Amateurs who can help provide a world class Amateur Radio experience during the NJ State Police / National Guard Camporee on the weekend of May 19-21.  Setup will be on Friday and activities will be on Saturday and possibly Sunday morning.  The key event period is Saturday during the day. 


Each Scout Council has been asked to provide activities to expand some of the really cool events being provided by a broad range of public agencies.


Our plan for the Northern New Jsesey Council is to provide hands-on activities including operating HF/VHF/UHF radio and Echolink, station  logging, radio direction finding, solar power systems, AREDN MESH Networks, Internet of Things,  Morse Code, antenna testing, and Amateur Radio  orientation and outreach to enable Scouts to follow up by getting their Radio Merit Badge and an Amateur Radio license through a local club near them.


If you are interested, and are not going to the  Dayton Hamvention that weekend, then please reach out to me ASAP, so we can get you vetted and registered.  

All Amateur Radio operators of sound character are welcome to apply to contribute to the success of this memorable triennial event.
