[Troop139] Passaic County Fair 2017 - Volunteer Amateur Radio Operators for 17-20 August, 2017

Hi Folks!

Yes, it is time once again for the Passaic County Fair at Garrett Mountain!

 

You are welcome to volunteer to assist the Sheriff's Department's initiative
for situation awareness at the Fair as a Radio Operator or a Communications
Technician (FEMA ICS roles "RO" and "COM-T" respectively).

If you are interested and available please contact Gordon Beattie, W2TTT at

Operational periods start at 5:00 PM on Thursday and Friday and 2:00 PM on
Saturday and Sunday until closing each night.  In some cases you may be
needed to stay for a short period following the closing of the Fair to help
demobilize and account for equipment.

 

Please bring a handheld Amateur Radio with one VFO or memory set to:

440.950 MHz (+5 MHz offset, PL 97.4 Hz)  for the NJ2PC/R repeater, 

and the another VFO or memory set to:

                446.000 MHz (Simplex, no tone, no tone squelch)  

 

If you need a sitting post, please plan to pack a folding chair.
