Hi All,
As you know, Holy Thursday Mass, Good Friday Church Hike and Holy Saturday Pascal Fire are annual Troop/Pack 139 Religious Activities. All Troop 139 Scouts are expected to attend. We encourage parents, siblings and friends to walk with you.
Scouts and Adults: Please arrive tomorrow night at 6pm in Conlon Hall.
-- Please eat dinner before you come at 6:00 PM. We may order pizza after church, but it will be $5 PP (2 slices). Otherwise, please bring your own snack for after Thursday night mass.
-- The troop will provide breakfast and a Pizza lunch on Friday during the walk. But you should pack your water bottle(s) and healthy snacks for the hike.
What you need:
• Full Class A Uniform (w/orange class B and neckerchief if you have one),
• Sleeping Bag, Pad
• toiletries to be left behind on Friday
• For Hiking on Friday: Bring a day pack with socks, spare clothes, personal items, snacks, water bottle(s)
• Please bring your own snack for after Thursday night mass.

TIMELINE
Thursday
6:00 PM: Meet in Conlon Hall
6:30 PM: Assemble to move to Church for 7:30 PM Mass
7:30 PM: Holy Thursday Mass as a Scout unit with our families
9:00 PM: If Scouts are attending Mass or other services elsewhere, please join us in Conlon Hall at 9:00 PM
• Please bring a snack / your late dinner (or bring $5.00 for pizza that we will order)
11:00: Lights out
Friday
5:00 AM: Rise and Shine
• Breakfast is provided: Scouts to dress with Troop orange T-shirts in an external manner where practical for safety
• Breakfast
5:30 AM: Finish up breakfast
6:00 AM: Hikers depart from Conlon Hall
• Snacks and rest stops will be scheduled along the way in various points including NNJC Camp Alpine Site 3 for lunch
• Further stops will include:
• Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for meditation and Via De La Rosa talk
• St. John the Theologian for the Transubstantiated Eucharist talk
• St. Therese of Liseux for a portion of their Three Hours Service
Bring Day packs with water, snacks, spare socks, clothes, personal items.
We are generally done between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM. (The hike finishes at Conlon Hall)

Route is Main St, to Washington Ave., to Clinton Ave. to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for meditation and Via De La Rosa talk, to St. John the Theologian for the Transubstantiated Eucharist talk, to Rt 9W North, to Lost Brook Preserve (enter the park on the east side of 9W), PIP Administration Building, back onto 9W North to Ruckman Rd. into NNJC Camp Alpine Site 3 for a delivered pizza lunch, then onto Ruckman Rd to Piermont Rd, to Madison Ave to St. Therese of Liseux for a portion of their Three Hours Service to Washington Ave. to Bradley Ave to Conlon Hall at St. John's.

Saturday, 6:30 PM for Pascal Fire
• Meet on the front steps of St. John's
• No uniforms
• Light fire with flint and steel using no propellant
• Tend fire to create coal bed that can be used to light the Pascal Candles
• Attend Easter Vigil Mass or go home to attend Mass on Sunday
