Hi Folks!
Here is a brief article and slide deck covering the recent Amateur Radio
Emergency Data Network and associated VOIP support provided to the New York
City Roadrunners Club and to New York City. There were an abundant number
of issues related to this National Security Event that are partially covered
through the use of Amateur Radio. Each year since 1976, 300-400 FCC
licensed Amateur Radio operators have provided essential support to the
Roadrunners, NYPD and other agencies, tracking vehicles, runners and key
staff with voice and data networks covering Medical, Runner Dropout,
Logistics and VIPs.
