[Troop139] Amateur Radio Field Day - Next Weekend

Hi Folks!
NEXT WEEKEND is Amateur Radio Field Day where Amateur Radio Operators take to the great outdoors and operate their equipment for a 24 hour period roughly from 1 PM on Saturday, June 25th to Sunday, June 26th.  

The Fair Lawn Radio Club will be operating from the pavilion in Memorial Park.  It is located at the end of west end Berdan Avenue along the Avenue of Heroes in Fair Lawn's Memorial Park just beyond the pool.  For those who have helped out with the Fair Lawn Fireworks, it is the same place. You won't miss us!  

If you are planning to attend, please try to send me an email to w2ttt at att.net so that we can be prepared for you and your Scouts.  We welcome all Cubs, Webelos, Boy Scouts and Venturers accompanied by supervising adults and we will have age-appropriate activities available starting around Noon.  All will have the opportunity for everyone to get on the air and make contacts over the radio!  It is always fun to be able to make that first contact and then to learn a little bit about the other station.  Many of our members are experienced and active Scouters, so we can offer advice and further follow-up opportunities for your boys and their families.
