[Troop139] Eagle Scout Project

Troop 139,
                As many of you know I will be starting my Eagle Scout
Project soon. For those who aren’t to sure of what it is, there is a park
in Cresskill called Terhune Park, and it has a playground for little kids
and a small size, two hoop basketball court. My project consists of
restoring the basketball court and adding outdoor fitness equipment so that
people are more inclined to go to that park. The restoration of the
basketball court consists of painting the basketball hoop poles, painting
b-ball court lines on the ground, filling in cracks in the court, replacing
the backboards, rims, and nets, and adding two benches.

                I am currently waiting for the supplies for the basketball
court to come in which was fully paid for by the town of Cresskill. They
should be in sometime this week, I’ll let you all know when it arrives. As
for the fitness equipment, the town will not be paying for it, however a
fundraiser will be set into place sometime in September. We will be having
a pancake breakfast on a Sunday morning with the goal to reach at least
$1000 to afford the fitness equipment. Efforts are being made to reduce the
price and/or the shipping time by us contacting the company that sells the
equipment.

                I will have more details to follow, keep checking your
emails because once the basketball court equipment comes in this week or
next week, the installation process will be dated shortly after.
