Mr Gungil,
I wholeheartedly agree!
I have been signed up since this was announced. Please note that convenient
locations for these annual opportunities are not always provided in
successive years, so this is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY and VERY INTERESTING!
We can ALL use a refresher on this important aspect of everyday life.
Also, while the BSA provides an online Weather Awareness course, this
evening session provides much more realistic training in spotting hazardous
conditions found when outdoors and in the open. It is also a great
supplement for those boys who are needing the Weather Merit Badge. I would
be happy to be a Merit Badge Counselor for any Scout who would like to earn
that badge.
See you next Wednesday at the class!
Yours in Scouting,
Gordon Beattie, W2TTT
