Sean,

I think your project is a good one, but you will need to spell out more on the actual public events.  Including how many Scouts and adults will be needed for each, any supplies, transportation and other resources needed.  It would also be good to specify how many of these events there will be, any training sessions that you might want to coordinate in advance along with the size of that group and resources needed for the training.  One final thing to consider is how long each event will be, so that you can get a total estimate of planning and executing hours.

I would imagine that you would have a training event for the collection phase and another for the public event phase that would involve both you and folks from the served agency.

These kinds of ideas will beef up your plan for Mr. Anthony Catalano who will be your District Advancement contact.

I am cc’ing him on this email and will also forward your existing draft to him in case he has further suggestions.  I am also cc’ing the Troop email list to get the other Scouts going through this process in sync with the requirements of a project.
