Hi Folks!
For Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge and for service hours, there is an opportunity this Saturday.
Dr. Gungil is in charge of this interesting and important training drill for Scouts and parents.

Additionally, if you are an Amateur Radio operator, please bring your radio if you have one, or let me know and I will see if I can lend you one.

Either way, please let me know if you plan to attend.

Thanks!

If you are unaware, the basic scenario for this exercise is a bioterrorism attack that results in the release of powdered anthrax over Blairstown/Frelinghuysen/Hardwick/Allamuchy areas. This exercise is part of a larger regional exercise that included an additional day (December 3rd) in Blairstown. In the first segment of our exercise, student actors received candy to signify prophylaxis. In this second segment of the exercise, we are using antibiotic pill boxes to simulate real boxes to be used in a real event. wrapped candy.

When the actors come through the POD, they will also receive educational materials. Everything else you need to know, you will learn/be trained for on the day of the exercise.

Please consider carpooling with colleagues and fellow volunteers - this will simplify parking.
If you have any questions on the day of the exercise, you can contact me at 862-881-0069, or Kate Bond at 973-703-1406.

Thank you very much for helping us with this important emergency preparedness effort. It is encouraging to see groups from across the region coming together and I am sure we will all learn a lot.

Please email me with any specific questions within the next few days.
