Glenora Caroline (Caro) Williams, 48, of Montvale, NJ, formerly of Mississauga, Canada and Grenada, West Indies died on August 18, 2014, fighting a valiant battle with breast cancer.
Born in Grenada, West Indies to Leonora and Ronnie Williams, Glenora was the loving sister of Milton Williams, Anthea (Arnott) Charles, Knox Williams, Valerie Grenade, Charlene Gungil (Gurz), and Gloria Williams. Caro was a loving aunt to Michael, Anthony, Dax, Ann Margaret, Neil (Nora), Lemar (Nicole), Mardin (Gizem), Tyrone, Troy, Xania, Ariel and Arslan. She was the grandaunt of Jaylah, Kai, Khalil, Xavier, William, Tahirah, Tara, and Skye.
Caroline was an active member of St. George’s Methodist Church in Grenada, where sheparticipated in a variety of activities before immigrating to Canada. In Canada, she was amember of St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Mississauga. She moved to USA in 2010 to be closer to her family. In NJ, she was a member of the United Methodist Church of Park Ridge, where she served as Lay Leader, Church Secretary, and treasurer of the benevolent committee.
Glenora attended St. George’s Methodist School and St. Joseph’s Convent, St. George’s, Grenada. She attended George Brown College, Toronto, Canada. Caroline worked at Trillium Hospital in Toronto for over 14 years, in a variety of roles, concluding as Coordinator of the Operating Rooms.
Caro was an active volunteer, leading teams in walks for breast cancer, diabetes, heart disease and HIV/AIDS. Caroline also trained and ran in the Mississauga marathon.
Viewing will take place on Saturday September 6, 2014 from 1 to 2:30 PM with a funeral service to begin at 3pm at United Methodist Church of Park Ridge, 130 Berthoud Street, Park Ridge, NJ 07656. Glenora will receive her final funeral rites at St. George’s Methodist Church, Grenada, where she will be laid to rest.
