Several of us are going to do a presentation on Friday night at the Fair
Lawn Radio Club.  Come by if want to see a REALLY NICE Amateur Radio Station
and also if you want learn more about the hobby.  

We will be at the Fair Lawn Community Center 10-10 20th St.  Fair Lawn, NJ.

Subject: Friday Radio Programming Event

 

Dear All,

At the last Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club business meeting, we voted to hold
a Radio Programming Special Event on Friday, Nov. 14, starting at 7:30 PM in
the Card Room.  The purpose is to familiarize club members with use of
computer software to program our radios and to encourage you to try it on
your own.  An LCD projector and screen will be set up for the following
presentations:

*         Discussion of local repeaters (from the BC-RACES list), lead by
Gene, WO2W;

*         Demo use of CHIRP software (which is Free) to program a Baofeng
UV5RA, lead by Gordon, W2TTT;

*         Demo use of RT-Systems software, lead by Randy, WU2S;

*         Q&A session and programming assistance (all of the above plus
Rick, W2LCN, Tony, N2SIQ, Karl, W2KBF and more).  If you would like help
programming your radio, please bring the radio plus any cables and software,
along with your desired frequency list.  We will do as much as is
realistically possible.
